Art Afternoon: Make Art with Found Photos and Artist Talk

Join us for a free afternoon of art! We are offering two different exhibition-related programs that are sure to engage the artist within. Whether you are looking for a hands-on art-making experience or interested in learning about the art on view - we have something for all ages!

Art Afternoon: Make Art with Found Photos

People of all ages are invited to this hands-on workshop led by artist, Maria Latour to make art from your own photos or those provided. Whether you bring photos of family and friends or use images we provide from the Internet, your work of art will surely be one-of-a-kind! Using collage techniques and your individual expression, you will create your own eye-catching artwork. This program is held in conjunction with the Fall Exhibition, Picture Takers.

Artist Talk

Artist Susan Hamburger has created a faux period-room installation for her exhibition Creeping Ornamentalism. During this informal event, she will be present in the gallery to discuss how her work initiates a dialogue about current social, political and economic conditions.

Both programs are free and open to all ages.
