Unfortunately, I've had a very bad experience with Home For Good Dog Rescue. After my approval, they failed to respond to my e-mails, were not very nice to me on the phone, and then told me to find another rescue to work with. I am trying to stay positive with the dog adoption process, but with experiences like this it is very difficult. A loving family is actively searching for a dog... I'll be blogging about my experiences; you can click on my name to check on the blog.

I am sorry to hear that your experience was not a happy one. I adopted my dog from Home for Good Dog Rescue in September 2010 and began volunteering for the organization (which is a volunteer based non-profit organization) a year later. Personally, it has been a great experience. The organization has placed over 1,500 dogs from high-kill shelters into loving homes. Today, Home for Good Dog Rescue was able to unite Molly with her new adoptive father, Richard (a childhood friend of mine). I know that both Molly and Richard will have a great life together. I am glad to have played a part in the process.

I am having the same exact problem as Anna. Also, the responses are all the same from "Robert Barnes" on all of these threads. Home For Good Dogs should be honest in saying that they only adopt to "certain people." I see that they allowed "Richard", Robert's childhood friend, to adopt. Very interesting. This rescue place doesn't care about humans. Seems like they are only adopting to friends and being very exclusive about who they respond to. Such a shame.
