Growing in the Garden "Be a Friend to Birds"

Macculloch Hall Historical Museum presents its hands-on program for preschool-age children “Growing in the Garden” this December. This program meets twice a month on Tuesday afternoons, to visit the garden at Macculloch Hall and explore environmental topics through a story, walk in the garden and art projects.

Be a Friend to Birds

On Tuesday, December 3 from 1:15 to 2 p.m. Macculloch Hall Historical Museum welcomes 3 to 5 year olds and their caregivers to come and explore the garden in search of backyard birds.  Who will we find in the garden—Cardinals, Black-capped Chickadees, or Downy Woodpeckers?  After a story to learn more about these feathered friends, children will make a winter bird treat using oranges, cranberries, and seeds to take home.
