Landmark Trees of Summit
The Friends of the Summit Free Public Library, in conjunction with the City of Summit Shade Tree Advisory Committee, invite the public to a slide show and discussion of the “Landmark Trees of Summit” as part of the City’s 2014 Arbor Day celebrations.
John Linson, the City Forester for Summit, will lead the program. He will discuss what constitutes a “landmark” tree, the City’s efforts to identify and preserve such specimens, and then will take attendees on a slide show tour of some of the remarkable and historic trees in Summit.
After the program, attendees will have the chance to speak with Mr. Linson and members of the Shade Tree Advisory Committee at a reception hosted by the Friends of the Summit Free Public Library.
