Stop Human Trafficking Now
The League of Women Voters (BHNPS), the American Association of University Women (Summit College Club) and the Junior League of Summit invite the general public to an informative program about human trafficking.
Human trafficking occurs when someone knowingly holds, entices, harbors, transports, provides or obtains by any means another person to engage in sexual activity or to provide labor or services. Simply put, it's modern day slavery. And with the 2014 Super Bowl in the Meadowlands drawing near, the greater Summit community needs to be made more aware of the dangers involved.
There will be a presentation and panel discussion from regional experts on the topic, who will cover the perils of human trafficking and what can be done to stop it.
