You are cordially invited to join us for a magical night in celebration of Curémonos’ 3rd anniversary. Our celebration is scheduled for May 4, 2012 at the Park Ave Club in Florham Park, NJ, at 7:30 pm.
There is an exciting evening of celebration in store! Our guest of honor is United States Senator for New Jersey, Robert Menendez. Senator Menendez was instrumental in the passage of the Patient Navigator Outreach and Chronic Disease Prevention Program. As part of the Curémonos Model, patient navigation is the key component of our Community Health Worker Program. Our Community Health Workers provide patient navigation services across the healthcare continuum, including survivorship.
The talented Luiz Simas and his band will mesmerize you with the sounds of bossa nova, jazz and Latin rhythms. Our guest speaker is Dr. Peter Hyans who is the Director of the Plastic Surgery Center and Chief in the Department of Surgery and Surgical Specialties at Summit Medical Group. He will be joined by one of his patients, Karen Scaff who is a Product Specialist for Bobbi Brown at Neiman Marcus at Short Hills. Karen has been terribly affected by breast cancer and is now one of Curémonos’ volunteers. Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on a variety of excellent items in our auction. As part of the festivities, we will pay tribute to all of those individuals who have touched our hearts and made a difference in the organization and the lives of others.
Our main sponsor this year is Ford Warriors in Pink. This month, Ford will be announcing their Models of Courage Program. The Models of Courage are 11 breast cancer survivors hand-selected from across the country to be Models of Courage for those involved in the fight against breast cancer. Our founder and executive director, Dora Arias, was one of the strong and the courageous selected to be a Model of Courage. Curémonos is pleased to be able to share a sneak peek of the photo and film shoot that took place this March in Los Angeles for the Ford 2012 Warriors in Pink apparel line. For 17 years, 100% of the net proceeds from the Ford Warriors in Pink collection goes directly to fund breast cancer awareness and to find a cure.
We hope you will join us in this magical celebration of human kindness and joy!
