“A Taste of Summit” Benefits Historical Society

“A Taste of Summit,” an annual fundraising event for the Summit Historical Society, provides attendees with an opportunity to sample fine foods from 20 of Summit’s restaurants and food shops.  The event will be held on Sunday, April 3 from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

The event will be held in the ballroom of the Grand Summit Hotel. Food is served buffet style with a cash bar.

Tickets are $40 per person. Additional donations and sponsors are welcome.  Advance reservations are recommended.  For details or tickets, call the Historical Society at 908-277-1747.  Chairperson of the event is Chris Siepert.

This year, Summit High School students will be on hand to present a verbal history and pictorial tours of some of Summit’s beautiful historic homes built during the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.

“A Taste of Summit” will also include a silent auction.  All proceeds will benefit the Summit Historical Society, a non-profit organization.  The Society depends on private donations and a volunteer board to operate the Carter House, Summit’s oldest remaining residence, as well as maintain its historic objects and archives.  The Summit Historical Society collaborates with Summit Downtown, Inc. to organize this much anticipated annual event.
