Autism Awareness Month in Downtown Summit

Autism Awareness continues in Summit with many merchants supporting and donating to the cause! Businesses supporting autism awareness include: Silver Lining, Anspach Opticians, UPS Store, Brain Balance Center, Frames for You, Apricot Lane, The Papery, Bella Ro, Nee Dells, The Tea Pot, Woodward Properties, Lois Schneider Realtor, BonaVita, Blue Plate Media, The Hat Tavern, Roots, Huntely Tavern, Fiorino's, Willow St., Zoom, Beauty Lounge and Sweet Nothings!

On April 2, World Autism Day, both Willow St. and Beauty Lounge celebrated the cause by donating a percentage from all sales to Autism Speaks! The Hat Tavern at the Grand Summit Hotel featured blue drinks and blue plate specials on World Autism Day and also donated a percentage of proceeds from all lunches and dinners served on that day.

BonaVita will be hosting a special dinner on April 26 with a percentage of all dinners sales going to Autism Speaks. To make a reservation, please call 908-277-1414. Enjoy great food with friends & family all while supporing a wonderful cause.

Many of the other businesses mentioned will be donating a percentage of all sales from the entire month to Autism Speaks. The business community of Summit has come together and opened their hearts to supporting Autism Awareness. One in 88 children are now being diagnosed with autism with 1 in 50 being diagnosed in New Jersey. Please visit these businesses and help them support the cause!
