Autism Bake Sale at Beauty Lounge 31 Maple St.,, Summit

In support of Autism Awareness Month, Beauty Lounge will be hosting a bake sale by owner, Illyne's daughter, Dylan and her friends.  The bake sale will take place on Monday, April 23 from 11 AM - 1 PM at Beauty Lounge on Maple St., in Summit. All proceeds from baked goods as well as other handmade product by the group of friends will be donated to Autism Speaks. The bake sale is part of a month long awareness and fundraiser in Summit supported by a group of select merchants.

The Autism Awareness Month campaign was started by local resident, Zachary Brooks, whose twin brother is affected by autism. In addition to Beauty Lounge, other merchants supporting this effort are Silver Lining, Anspach Opticians, UPS Store, Bona Vita, Lois Schneider Realtor, Frames for You, Zoom, Apricot Lane, The Papery, Nee Dells, Fiorino's, Roots, The Tea Pot, Blue Plate Media, Brain Balance Center, Willow St., Huntely Tavern, Hat Tavern, Woodward Properties, Sweet Nothings and Brayton School.
