Hispanic parents night at Summit H.S./Reunion de padres Hispanos en Escuela Superior de Summit
Hispanic parents are invited to attend a meeting at Summit High School to acquaint them with the expectations for the new school year 2012-2013.
Summit High School will hold its first Hispanic Parents Night of the school year 2012-2013 on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. All parents are invited to attend.
Arturo Lopez, Bilingual Coordinator, will lead the discussion and will acquaint new students and their parents to school administrators and staff.

Summit High School hosts similar meetings throughout the school year to keep the Hispanic parents informed about school events and to assist them with their children's education.
Last year during a College Night event, Mr. Lopez had college representatives speak to the students about the opportunities available to them with a higher education degree. Many encouraged the students to focus on their studies, graduate from High School and set their goals towards a college education.

Summit High School invita a los padres Latinos a la primera reunión del año escolar 2012-2013 que tendrá lugar el Miércoles, 3 de Octubre del 2012 a las 7:00 p.m.
Arturo López, Coordinador Bilingüe, presidirá en la reunión y llevara a cabo las presentaciones de los adminstradores para aquellos estudiantes que asistiran a Summit High School por primera vez.
Estas reuniones se llevan a cabo muy a menudo en la Escuela Summit High School para mantener a los padres Hispanos informados de las actividades de la escuela y para ayudarles con la educación de sus hijos.
En una reunión del año pasado sobre las universidades, el Sr. López invito a representantes de varias universidades para que dialogaran con los padres y los estudiantes sobre las oportunidades disponibles cuando tienen una educacion universitaria. Muchos aconsejaron a los estudiantes a fijarse metas lo mas pronto posible para que así puedan enfocarse en sus estudios, graduarse de escuela superior, e ir a la Universidad en el futuro.
