Peapod Visits Summit School to Talk Nutrition, Budgets and Giving Back

Students will donate their online order to St. Teresa's Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry.

Fourth-graders at Lincoln Hubbard School were visited Monday by Peg Merzbacher, director of marketing for Peapod.com's Kids Give Back program, an initiative committed to encouraging the next generation to contribute to the community while providing healthy eating and budgeting lessons at an early age.

Merzbacher spoke with students about nutrition, shopping on a budget and giving back to local food banks. Children used math and healthy eating lessons to put together a complete Peapod order that they will deliver to St. Teresa's Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry on behalf of the online grocer in the coming weeks.
