Summit's 16th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is planned for Monday, Jan. 20. from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at several locations in Summit. There are additional theme-based events before and after the Monday holiday.

Check the 2014 Schedule of events for details about donations of items for those in need and attendance for sorting and packing to reach the intended. Donations are VERY MUCH needed. Clothing, books, toiletries, baby layettes, school supplies and other items.

Volunteer For An Hour. Serve For a Day. Change for a Lifetime. Make it a DAY ON, not a Day off!

Dr. King believed that everyone can be great because everyone can serve. All ages are welcome. The Annual Day of Service is made possible through the generosity of all Donors and Sponsors of Shaping Summit Together, a 501c3 organization consisting of community agencies, individuals, houses of worship and not-for-profits dedicated to ensuring that Summit stakeholders work together to help Summit reach its full potential as a mature, diverse, suburban community.
