JLS Member, Christy Hodde, Named Rotary Club President

The Junior League of Summit would like to congratulate one of its own! Christy Hodde, who has been a member of the JLS since 1974 and an exemplary humanitarian, has accepted the position of president of the Rotary Club.

When asked about plans for her new role, Hodde said she hopes to forge stronger connections with the Summit/New Providence communities and bring new members into the club. Hodde has been with the Rotary Club for more than eight years and is also Executive Director of the NJ Crossroads chapter of the Red Cross. Before that, she worked at the Connection for Women and Families for nearly 20 years.

The Junior League of Summit promotes voluntarism and trains women to be leaders in their community.  Hodde noted its influence on her own successes,  "The Junior League offers multi-faceted opportunities to build confidence in leadership, public speaking, and project management...everything an executive needs for a constantly changing business arena. The League’s reputation and connections provide the network for those opportunities, as well as fostering a fun, working atmosphere!"
