Junior League of Summit Announces Spring Fling!

The Junior League of Summit is excited to announce its Spring Fling event, held Thursday March 6th, from 9:30am to 8:00pm at the JLS Thrift Shop, 37 DeForest Avenue.  The event features new and gently used men’s, women’s, and children’s spring clothing as well as housewares.

With spring around the corner, this is a good time to come in and find some great spring fashions. Whether you’re looking for t-shirts, shorts, or a bright dress to break out of the winter cold, the Shop has many options.  This year’s inventory is packed with high quality spring clothing for men, women, and children, typically 50% less than full retail prices. So if you’re looking to add some fun spring clothes to your family’s wardrobe, come see all the great merchandise.

“We hope people will stop by and check out our wonderful spring selections,” said JLS President, Colleen Markley, “With the warmer months approaching, shoppers can come find some great deals for their families. And, at the Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop, you are supporting the local community, as all of the Shop’s proceeds go directly back to the JLS and are reinvested in the form of grants, funding for community projects, and scholarships.”

The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop in Summit was established in 1934 and offers new and gently used clothing and shoes for men, women and children, toys, decorative items for the home, house wares, and furniture that is deeply discounted. It is the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Summit and has provided the resources for the League’s many grants, projects, programs, and scholarships over the years. Since its inception, the Shop has raised over $3,000,000 to benefit Summit and surrounding communities. The Junior League of Summit Thrift Shop is one of only two thrift shops in New Jersey featured in the book, True Prep. The Shop accepts MC, Visa, and debit cards.

The Junior League of Summit is a nonprofit, charitable and educational organization of women who are committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
