Frank E. Spielberg, Longtime Summit Resident, Dies at 91

A memorial service will be held in November.

Frank E. Spielberg, 91, passed away at his Summit home Sunday.

Born in Vertugeni, Russia, Frank lived in Summit since 1979, as well as in Mexico, Holland, Kansas, California and New York. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from USC and was the President of Hoerbiger Products USA and served as President and member of the Board of Directors of Worthington Pumps, Mexico City. He was a member and past President of the Mexican Engineering Society. Frank also enjoyed being a longtime member of the Fairmount Country Club in Chatham.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Gilda (Carmel); his loving children Gordon Spielberg and wife Georgina (California), Genevieve Spielberg-Frey and husband Armin Frey (Summit, NJ), his sister Bertha Herrmann, and 4 cherished grandchildren: Spencer, Justin, Katie and Carter.

A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Frank was a loving, brilliant, and generous gentleman who will be missed immeasurably.

Shiva will be observed at the home of his daughter and her family, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 8  p.m.  A memorial service will be held in November.
