Lifelong Summit resident William H. Hand passed away Tuesday at Overlook Medical Center at the age of 72.

The following information was provided by Paul Ippolito Funeral Homes:

Bill was a Veteran of the United States Army and served in Vietnam. He worked as a Dispatcher for the City of Summit Fire Department, where he was also a volunteer firefighter. Bill was a member of the American Legion Frank Patterson Post #43 and a longstanding member of the Hose 2 Club, Summit.
