Matthew Ryan Permahos, Son of Summit Library Director, Dies at 24

Matthew Ryan Permahos, 24, passed away peacefully Wednesday at his home in Warren.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Higgins Home for Funerals, located at 752 Mountain Blvd. in Watchung, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church. Interment to follow.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. To send condolences, please visit Higgins Home for Funerals' website.
Matthew graduated from Watchung Hills Regional High School and attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology and Raritan Valley Community College. He loved working on cars and excelled at anything mechanical.
He is survived by his father, Ralph; his mother, Susan; his maternal grandmother, Rita Byers, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
