Summit Assistant Principal Concern

As the father of a 2013 Summit graduate I was very impressed by the proceedings. Well organized, even after the outdoor cancelation. Nice job to all those who made it happen.

My only disappointment was when my daughter came home after graduation practice and told me that Mr. Aikey, Summit High School Assistant Principal, made a completely inappropriate comment with regards to politics. Aiken said.... "Keep you tassels on the right side of your cap then move them to the left.  Those of you that are smart always move from the Right to the Left."

Wow... what a disappointment! I would expect such a bush league comment from back bench educator, NOT from one of the leaders of the High School.

Oh we'll, I guess we get to see his true colors. In the future, make your off handed remarks directly to us as parents and then let's see the fall out. I'm sure there will be some cheering you on but many that will confront you for your BS comment. You're a big man for saying this to a bunch of 17-18 year olds and not their parents.
