Sophisticated, family friendly English cottage will be featured on the October 24th Overlook Auxiliary Kitchen Tour

The homeowners of this beautiful home on Maple Street had always been attracted to English style cottages.  When they found this stoned and cedar gem their dreams came true.  Typically drawn to more traditional styles of design, they found themselves excited by the idea of adding splashes of modern into the mix. The entire first floor of this family friendly home is a testament that functionality can be beautiful.  The use of  fabrics, such as linen and jute, a variety of woods, soapstone and metal make this home not only beautiful, but interesting and appealing to all the senses. The mix of textures is sophisticated, without being stuffy, and creates an inviting and warm atmosphere.

Tickets for the tour are currently on sale for $40 at Lois Schneider Realtor, Paperfolio and The Gift Shop & Bloom inside Overlook Medical Center or online at www.oaux.org. Proceeds of this years tour will benefit the Valerie Center, which provides support to children and their families suffering from cancer and blood disorders.
