8K Worth of Power Tools Stolen from Overlook Road Parking Lot

The following arrest information was supplied by the Summit police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

On July 4, police received a report of theft from vehicle while it was parked at an Edgar Street residence during the overnight hours of July 1. Reported missing is a Garmin GPS valued at $300.
 
On July 5, police received a report of theft of hanging planter valued at $50 from the front of an Ashland Road residence sometime between 8 p.m. July 4 and 7:30 a.m. July 5.
 
On July 7, police received a report of theft of five phones from a Chatham Road corporation sometime between 5:15 p.m., July 6 and 6:45 a.m. July 7.
 
On July 7, police received a report of theft of laptop computer from a
Springfield Avenue massage and acupuncture treatment center sometime between June 30 and July 7.
 
On July 8, police received a report of theft from a vehicle while it was parked in an Overlook Road parking lot sometime between 4:30 p.m., July 7 and 7:25 a.m. July 8. Reported missing was between $7,000  and $8,000 worth of power tools.
 
On July 9, police arrested Edgar F. Avelar, 23, of Summit, at Broad Street and East Washington Avenue for Driving While Suspended.
 
On July 10, police received a report of a break-in in progress to a vehicle while it was parked in a Springfield Avenue residential driveway. Suspects fled upon patrol’s arrival. With the assistance of
Millburn Police Department, two juvenile suspects were later taken into custody and transported to Summit Police Department for processing. 
 
On July 10, police received a report of theft from a vehicle while it was parked behind the garage of a Springfield Avenue residence sometime between 10 p.m., July 8 and 10:30 a.m. July 9. Reported missing are a Tom Tom GPS valued at $418, two pairs of Koss headphones valued at $62 each and a multi-tool with belt holster valued at $10.
