Fight on NJ Transit Train Sends One Victim to Overlook

One man fled the scene before Summit police arrived, while another was treated for minor injuries.

A fight that began on a New York-bound NJ Transit train Sunday night between Chatham and Summit stations sent one man to Overlook Hospital while another fled the scene before Summit police officers arrived, according to NJ.com.

No other passengers or crew members were injured during the incident, which began at approximately 6:40 p.m., and service was not impacted, according to John Durso, a NJ Transit spokesman, who added that it was unclear what caused the fight.
