Fire Breaks Out in Iris Road Home Monday Morning

The Summit Fire Department received a call of a fire to an Iris Road home at 8:21 a.m. on April 15.


At 8:21 a.m. the Summit Fire Department received a call of a structure fire to 4 Iris Road and the department arrived on scene at 8:25 to a fire confined to a second floor room, according to Battallion Chief David Guida.

The structure was occupied at the time of the fire, Guida said. One person was removed from the home and transported to Overlook Medical Center, but did not suffer major injuries, he stated.

The fire was confined by Summit Firefighters to the room of origin, according to Guida.

An investigation team was called to the scene and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
