Fire Department to Host Open House
'Prevent Kitchen Fires' is the message of this year's Fire Prevention Week, which runs from Oct. 6 to 12.
The Summit Fire Department invites the community to attend an open house from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in honor of Fire Prevention Week.
The department reminds residents to check the batteries in their smoke detectors and practice their exit drills in the home.
