Fire Reports: Smoke Scare and Saline Spill
Firefighters responded to a smoke scare and a fluid spill from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7.
- On Sept. 4, fire fighters responded to Morris Avenue near the receiving entrance of Overlook Hospital for a fluid spill. At 8:46 a.m. they found a small saline spill in the road and applied absorbent material.
- On Sept. 4 fire fighters responded to a smoke scare on Myrtle Avenue around 9 p.m. Upon arrival, fire fighters found an odor of smoke possibly from an outdoor fireplace but they could not locate the source, a department report said. Fire fighters cleared the scene after the smell dissipated.
