Numerous Thefts From Vehicles Reported to Summit Police

Items stolen from vehicles include insurance cards, vehicle registration, GPS, baby bouncer seat, iPod Touch and gift cards, among others.

There were numerous thefts from vehicles reported to Police in Summit last week.

On Jan. 25, there was a reported theft of insurance cards, an owner’s manual and vehicle registration from a vehicle parked in a residential driveway on Beechwood Road. The theft occurred between 5 p.m. on Jan. 24 and 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 25.

Also on Jan. 25, a baby bouncer seat, valued at $49, and a Garmin GPS were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on Morris Avenue between 7 p.m. on Jan. 24 and 9 a.m. on Jan. 25.

On Jan. 26, there was a report of unlawful entry to two vehicles, which were parked at a residence on Wade Drive. This occurred between 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 25 and 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 26.

There was also a reported theft of an iPod Touch and $5 in change on Jan. 26 from a vehicle parked in a residential driveway on Canoe Brook Parkway, which occurred between 11 a.m. and 2:35 p.m.

Also on Jan. 26, there was a reported theft of a brown Coach wallet, containing gift cards valued at $350, which was also parked in a residential driveway on Canoe Brook Parkway. The theft occurred at some point during the night of Jan. 25.
