Pay Machine at Summit Middle School Burned

Burn marks indicated machine had been set on fire.

On September 12, police received a report of damage and attempted entry to vehicle while it was parked in a Rotary Drive residential driveway sometime between 8:00 p.m. on Sept. 11 and the morning of Sept. 12. Damage to door handle, key hole and door was reported.

On September 12, police received a report of theft from vehicle while it was parked in a Druid Hill Road residential driveway sometime between 8:00 p.m. on Sept. 11 and 8:00 a.m. and Sept.12. Reported missing were a pair of Oakley sunglasses valued at $150.00 and a garage door remote opener which was later found on the property.

On September 16, John Allen, 28, of Jersey City was arrested at Morris Avenue and Denman Place for Driving While Suspended

On September 16, Oscar Carvajal, 22, of Summit, was arrested at Beechwood Road for Contempt of Court

On September 17, police received a report of theft of $155.00 cash from a desk drawer located in the Emergency Room at Overlook Hospital sometime between 12:15 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., one Sept.16.

On September 17, Efrain Reyes, 45, of Summit, was arrested at Broad Street and Maple Street for Possession of CDS and Driving While Suspended.

On September 17, Ahmed J. Richard, 49, of Newark, was arrested at Broad Street for Contempt of Court.

On September 19, police received a report of damage to City property (parking pay machine) located at the Summit Middle School. Burn marks indicated machine had been set on fire.

On September 19, police received a report of attempted theft of vehicle while it was parked in the rear parking lot of a Springfield Avenue luggage store sometime between 12:35 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.. Driver’s side door lock cover popped out. No entry gained.
