Police Blotter: 15-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted

Plus: Three people arrested for DWI.

A 15-year-old Summit girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 21-year-old Newark man on more than one occasion, according to Lt. Steven Zagorski.

On Feb. 10, police arrested Albert L. Waite, Jr. at headquarters for two counts of sexual assault. Zagorski said the suspect knew the victim and the assaults did occur in Summit.

Waite is being held in Union County Jail on $35,000 bail.

On Feb. 11, police arrested Mirko Oldja, 31, of Paterson, at Rt. 124 and Canoe Brook
Parkway for contempt of court.
 
On Feb. 11, police received a report of theft of a Navi Track Rigid Locator valued at $2,500 from a work site on New England Avenue sometime between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The device is used by professionals to locate underground pipes wires.
 
On Feb. 11, police arrested James Roche, 47, of Hoboken, at Broad Street for driving while intoxicated.
 
On Feb. 13, police arrested Daniel O Alpizar, 32, of New Providence, at Morris Avenue and Glenside Avenue for driving while intoxicated and driving while suspended.
 
On Feb. 14, police arrested Edward Albert Vita, 27, of Florham Park, at Broad Street and Middle Avenue for possession of controlled dangerous substances and driving while intoxicated.
