Police Blotter: $28,000 Worth of Jewelry Stolen

Several items reported stolen from Pine Grove Avenue home.

On July 12, police arrested Ceasar Garcia Gonzalez, 22, of Summit, at Morris Avenue and Upper Overlook Road for Simple Assault.
 
On July 12, police received a report of theft from vehicle while it was parked at a Morris Avenue car dealer lot sometime between 6 p.m. July 19 and 6 a.m. July 12.  Reported missing is an Infiniti aluminum wheel valued at $1,088.15, one tire valued at $277, one Infiniti sensor unit valued at $117.32 and one Infiniti nut valued at $1.82.
 
On July 12, police rceived a report of theft of a green and purple Trek 850 mountain bike valued at $300 from a bike rack on Railroad Avenue sometime between 10 a.m., June 25, and 4 p.m., June 27.
 
On July 14, police arrested Derrick B. Acheamfour, 23, of Summit, at Broad Street and Middle Avenue for Driving While Suspended.
 
On July 16, police received a report of theft of jewelry from a Pine Grove Avenue residence sometime between 11:50 a.m., July 14 and 6 p.m. July 15.  Reported missing was one diamond engagement ring, one diamond band, one set of diamond earrings, one Tiffany Baume Mercier woman's watch, one Tiffany Omega men's watch, one turquoise necklace and one gold money clip with $20 gold coin attached.  Total value approximately $28,000.
 
On July 18, police arrested Edward Rosales-Torres, 23, of Piscataway, at Stockton Road and Ascot Way for Driving While Suspended.

 On July 19, police received a report of burglary and theft to a Beechwood Road residence sometime between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Known missing at this time are a Toshiba laptop and a Gateway laptop (unknown value). Items missing from a combination safe located in the residence were pearl jewelry, cameras, gold bracelets and gold rings (value not reported at this time).
