Police Blotter: Car Egged at Wade Drive Home

Police also arrest 35-year-old Newark man for Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia.

During the week of Sept. 1 to Sept. 7, police filed these reports:

  • On Sept. 3, police received a report of theft of gold chains valued at $1,800 from a Kent Place Boulevard residence sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 2.
  • On Sept. 3, Darren D. Harding, 22 of Irvington, arrested at River Road for Driving While Suspended.
  • On Sept. 3, [Name Withheld], 41 of Summit was arrested at Broad Street and Maple Street for Failure to Observe Traffic Signal, Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal to Submit to Breath Samples.
  • On Sept. 4, police received a report of malicious mischief to vehicle while it was parked in the Family Aquatic Center parking lot sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. The front windshield was cracked.
  • On Sept. 5, police received a report of theft of Johnson and Murphy bag from a Maple Street clothing store sometime between 1 and 3 p.m. on Sept. 4. The bag was returned to the victim on Sept. 5 with the following items missing: Flip Ultra Video camera, Nikon pocket camera, HP Netbook, Ipod Touch, Tag Heuer watch and a Swiss Army watch, total value approximately $2,800.
  • On Sept. 6, Brian Thomas Russell, 35 of Newark, was arrested at Broad Street and Chestnut Street for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  • On Sept. 6, police arrested Nihkil A. James, 21 of Newark, at the Summit Promenade for Disorderly Conduct.
  • On Sept. 7, police receieved a report of malicious mischief to a vehicle while it was parked in a Wade Drive residential driveway between 10:30 p.m., Sept. 6 and 9:30 a.m., Sept. 7. The vehicle was covered with egg and eggshells.
  • On Sept. 8, Ian W. Oswald, 23 of Nescopeck, Pa., was arrested at Cullis Lot for Simple Assault.
