Police Blotter: Multiple Thefts from Vehicles; Arrests on Controlled Substance Charge on Summit Ave

Edgar Mendez, 27, of Summit was arrested at Park Avenue and Ashwood Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Ashleigh C. Florek, 23, of Summit was arrested at Summit Avenue and Broad Street on a charge of possession of controlled dangerous substance.

Matthew F. Kenkelen, 26, of Dover, was arrested at Summit Avenue and Broad Street on charges of possession of controlled dangerous substance and contempt of court.

A Maple Street residence reported stolen: a navigation system, satellite radio, credit cards, ID and over $800.00 in cash from a vehicle parked in the driveway between 11:30 p.m., 11/21/11 and 6:30 a.m.
A Linden Place resident reported stolen: a navigation system and satellite radio from a vehicle in the driveway sometime between 9:30 p.m., 11/21/11 and 5:50 a.m.

Juan A. Soler-Acevedo, 31, of Summit was arrested at Beechwood Road on a charge of contempt of court.

Nakiiya Nashaya Rhodes, 21, of Bloomfield, was arrested at Morris Avenue on charges of driving while suspended, maintenance of lamps and unlicensed driver.

A Broad Street resident reported stolen a satellite radio and a navigation system from the dashboard of a vehicle parked in the driveway sometime between 8:00 p.m., on Nov. 15 and 7:15 a.m.
A Mountain Avenue resident reported stolen a GPS unit and a BlackBerry cell phone charger from a vehicle while it was parked in the driveway sometime between 9:30 p.m., Nov. 15 and 7:15 a.m.

A IPhone 4 was reported stolen from a bench at the YMCA between 3:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m.
