Police Blotter: New Year's Eve Burglary, Credit Card Fraud Reported

Jan. 4

Sheritta Norris, 34, of Orange was arrested at on charges of theft by deception 3rd degree, theft of movable property Dpo and 2 counts of forgery 3rd degree.

Cell phone reported stolen from a purse located at sometime between 12/15/11 and today.

Thomas F. Cummins, 19, of Summit arrested at Kent Place Blvd and High Street for alleged possession of a controlled and dangerous substance.

Wallet reported stolen from an office at Overlook Hospital sometime between 6:35 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., on 12/29/11. Contents of wallet included $5.00 cash, bank cards and ID.

 

Jan. 2

Sledge hammer and garden shears reported stolen from a shed in the rear of a Greenfield Avenue residence. They were valued at approximately $50.00. 

Brian C. Gail , 29, of Summit was arrested at Rt. 124 and Canoe Brook Parkway for allegedly driving while intoxicated.

 

Jan. 1

Burglary and theft reported at an Essex Road residence sometime between 7:00 p.m., 12/31/11 and 12:40 a.m. Reported missing at this time are (12) Carrs sterling silver place settings with matching cutlery (7 pieces) for each setting, with an approximate value of $10,000.00.

 

Dec. 30

Wallet reported stolen from a desk drawer at Overlook Hospital sometime between 1:05 p.m. and 1:35 p.m. Contents of wallet included credit cards, ID and $40.00 cash.

 

Dec. 29

Vehicle theft reported: a gray 2008 GMC Yukon Wagon allegedly stolen from a Beekman Road residence sometime between 12:00 midnight and 9:11 a.m.

Lennie D. Barno II, 24, of Elizabeth, NJ, arrested for contempt of court and driving while suspended.

 

Dec. 28

Robert A. Santiago, 25, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested at DeForest Avenue on charges of 2 counts of forgery-credit card fraud, 2 counts of theft by deception 2nd degree, 2 counts of forgery 3rd degree and forgery-credit card fraud-knowingly uses counterfeit, altered, lost, stolen or fraudulently obtained credit card.

 

Dec. 27

Burglary reported to a West End Avenue residence sometime between mid-day on 12/21/11 and 6:00 p.m. Reported missing are a Louis Vuitton Sachel Bag valued at $1,200.00, a “Tods” brand shoulder bag valued at $1,200.00 and a “Gurka” brand green cloth duffel bag valued at $500.00.

 

Dec. 26

Patricia McCarthy, 38 and Terence J. McCarthy, 41, of Cranford both were arrested at Broad Street on the following charges: 2 counts of theft by deception 3rd Degree, alleged forgery-check Fraud 3rd Degree, forgery 3rd degree-alters or changes any writing of another without authorization, and forgery 3rd Degree-utters any writing which he knows to be forged.

 

Dec. 22

William B. Morris, 41, of East Orange was arrested at Springfield Avenue and Hobart Avenue for contempt of court.
