Police Blotter: Several Cars Reportedly Broken Into Along Springfield Avenue

Two parked in apartment building lot and another in a residential driveway.

On Dec. 15, police arrested jonathan P. Mendez, 21 of New Providence, at Rt. 124 East for Driving While Intoxicated.
 
On Dec. 17, polie arrested Mckinley Stewart, 42 of Montclair, at Summit Avenue for
Contempt of Court.
 
On Dc. 17, police arrested Stephanie Frazier, 44 of Plainfield, at 124 East/Summit Avenue for Driving While Suspended.
 
On Dec. 17, police arrested Nikhil James, 21 of Newark, at Springfield Avenue and
Maple Street for Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substances.
 
On Dec. 18, police received a report of forced entry to two vehicles which were parked in a Springfield Avenue apartment building parking lot discovered by patrol at 4:50 a.m. The first vehicle was found with a passenger side window smashed  but nothing was reported missing from vehicle.  The owner of the second vehicle which was found with driver's side door ajar reported an Ipod charger/FM transmitter valued at $40 to be missing. 
 
On Dec. 18, police arrested Luis Patino, 26 of Newark, arrested at 24 East and River road for Driving While Suspended.
 
On Dec. 18, police received a report of theft from vehicle while it was parked in a Springfield Avenue residential driveway sometime between 7 p.m. Dec. 17 and 9 a.m. Dec. 18. Reported missing was a Gerber fishing knife.
