Police Blotter: String of GPS Units Stolen

Plus: the rest of the weekly police blotter.

On March 30, police received a report of theft of blue and chrome 21-speed, 21-inch Mongoose bicycle valued at $10,000 from the front porch of a Morris Avenue residence sometime between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
 
March 29, police received a report of theft of 4” PVC connecting couplers valued at $7.09 and a Norelco Electric razor valued at $90 from a vehicle while it was parked in the tiered parking garage sometime between 1:30 p.m. March 26 and the morning of March 27.
 
On March 30, police arrested Vincent D. Banks, 38, of Newark, for contempt of court.
 
On March 31, police received a report of theft of Garmin GPS from a vehicle while it was parked while it was parked on DeForest Avenue sometime between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Vehicle’s ignition was damaged as well.
 
On April 1, police received a report of theft of Magellan GPS and damage to the ignition of a vehicle while it was parked in the Broad Street Garage sometime between 8 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
 
On April 1, police receieved a report of theft of Garmin Nuvi portable GPS and an IPhone mobile charger together valued at approximately $220 from a vehicle while it was parked in the Broad Street Garage sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 10:50 p.m.
 
On April 1, police arrested Keith Jordan, 43, of Summit, at Kent Place Blvd. for third degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
 
On April 2, police received a report of theft of two motorcycles from the garage of a Nassau Drive residence sometime between noon, on March 19 and April 2.
 
On April 2, police arrested Robert Nagy, 45, of Summit, at Beekman Terrace for simple assault and resisting arrest.
 
On April 2, police arrested Tonia Nimley, 29, of Newark, at Springfield Avenue and Ruthven Place for contempt of court.
