Update: Purse Reported Stolen Actually Misplaced by Owner
Purse was left by owner at another location.
Update: The Summit resident who reported her purse and its contents stolen from her unlocked car told Patch she actually left the handbag at another location the prior evening.
The resident, who recovered everything, thought she had left the bag in the car but when she recalled that she had left it behind, she alerted police. Wanting to avoid causing unnecessary alarm to fellow residents, particularly those along Elm Street, the woman asked that Patch notify the community.
