Snow Wreaks Havoc on Summit Motorists

Police responded to 10 accidents and 15 disabled vehicles in a two-hour span on Tuesday.

Tuesday's storm, which dropped 2 to 3 inches of snow on Summit, was responsible for numerous accidents, police said.

Summit Police Officers responded to 10 motor vehicle accidents and 15 disabled motor vehicle calls, all in less than a two-hour period.

"Having all of the local schools closed was a big help," Lt. Michael Cantone explained. "It kept all of those kids home safe and lessened the traffic issues we dealt with."
