Summit Arrest Report: Residents Hit With Charges of Burglary, Drug Possession

A pair of Summit residents were arrested two hours apart on Wednesday night on charges ranging from burglary, to theft to criminal mischief, according to police.

Harold A. Fitzgerald, 19, was arrested at Summit Police headquarters along with Kristen E. Crawford, 24, both on similar charges: burglary in the second degree, theft of moveable property and third degree criminal mischief. 

On Tuesday, a Morristown resident was arrested on a motor vehicle theft charge, according to police. Breire N. Wilfong, 21, was arrested at police headquarters in City Hall on multiple charges that included third degree theft of moveable property and third degree burglary.

A 27-year-old Irvington man, Jonathan N. Williams, Jr. was arrested on Oct. 25, on charges of burglary in the third degree, motor vehicle theft, and theft of moveable property in the third degree.

Drug Possession Arrests

On Oct. 28, Adrian Cierpial, 33, of Summit was arrested at 4:30a.m. on Park Avenue for allegedly possessing a controlled and dangerous susbstance, according to police.

David W. Boyce of Mountainside was arrested at Morris Avenue and Denman Place around 7:30p.m. on Oct. 23. According to police the arrest was on two counts of possessing a controlled and dangerous substance.

Arrest for Court Warrant

Michael J. Tucker, 50, of Summit was arrested at Summit Public Library on a contempt of court charge.  

DWI Arrests

Johan D. Betancourt-Hurtad, 23, of South Orange was arrested just after midnight on Nov. 2, according to police. He was arrested at Railroad Avenue and Maple Street on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Also on Nov. 2, at around 11:50p.m. police arrested a 52-year-old Watchung man, Clifford L. Nielsen. He was arrested at Springfield Avenue for allegedly driving while intoxicated.
