Summit Crime Report: Daytime Burglaries Reported

Burglaries

  • A burglary and theft were reported at a Fernwood Road residence sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m on June 25. A gold wedding ring with a 1-karat round diamond, a gold wedding band with diamond chips, silver utensils and service for 12 (forks and spoons) as well as miscellaneous jewelry were reported missing. Also reported missing were an Avon watch and a 14k gold locket. Total value approximately $17,585.00.
  • A burglary was reported at a Wallace Road residence while resident was sleeping on June 19 around 10:30a.m. Nothing was reported missing.

 

Automobile Thefts

  • A 2006 Chrysler 300 was reported stolen from the Cullis Garage sometime between June 2 and June 19.
  • A 1997 Honda Accord was reported stolen from a lot on Park Avenue, sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on June 20.


Other Reported Thefts 

  • A Makita power drill and two laser levels were reported stolen from a building located on DeForest Avenue sometime between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on June 14.
  • An EZpass was reported stolen from a vehicle that was parked at the PSE&G lot sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 18.
  • An Apple 4S iPhone was reported stolen from the area of Mabie Playground sometime between 6p.m. and 8p.m. on June 20.
  • A blue 21-speed Gary Fisher Utopia bicycle valued at $600 was reported stolen from the front porch of a Linda Lane residence. The theft occured sometime between 5p.m., June 15 and 9a.m., June 21.

 

Criminal Mischief

  • A vehicle parked overnight at an Aubrey Street residence was damaged by scratches along driver side front and rear doors as well as the passenger side front door and quarter panel on June 25.
  • A car parked at an Aubrey Street resident was reported damaged with two puncture marks to the front left tire. The incident occurred between 9:30a.m. and 12p.m. on June 23
  • A vehicle was reported damaged by a sharp instrument on the front driver's side door, while it was parked in Broad Street parking garage between 7:30 a.m. and 10p.m. on June 21.
