Thefts From Unlocked Vehicles Continue

Thefts occurred between Sunday and Monday afternoons.

A resident of Argyle Court notified police that a pair of sunglasses valued at $7 was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at the residence between 4 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday.

A Debary Place resident reported that two pairs of Oakley sunglasses valued at $350 were taken from an unlocked car parked at the residence between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:50 a.m. Monday. 

Shortly after 3 p.m. Monday, an Edgewood Road resident reported that a full tool box, a battery pack charger and a flashlight were taken from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked at the residence.

Residents of Edgewood and Whittredge Roads reported unlawful entry to their vehicles while they were parked at their residences. Victims were unsure if any items were missing at this time.

Following a series of similar burglaries in early September, Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson reminded residents to lock their cars and protect their property.
