The City of Summit is reminding residents of the various ways to stay updated regarding emergency and non-emergency information. 

Sign-up for Code Red Messages

The CodeRED system is the City’s official emergency notification system. It is used to send critical communications from evacuation notices to missing child alerts.

Go to http://cityofsummit.org and click on the CodeRED button at the bottom, right side of the homepage. Receive alerts on multiple phone numbers, by text and/or email addresses.

Sign-up for Nixle Alerts

Find out what's happening in Summitwith free, real-time updates from Patch.

With nixle, you are able to sign-up to receive information by text or email ranging from critical alerts to community news from the Summit Police Department.

Go to http://cityofsummit.org and click on the Nixle button at the bottom, right side of the homepage to register. There is no cost for this service but message and data charges do apply.
