Summit Preps for Weekend Snowstorm

Forecasters are calling for snow to begin falling Saturday morning.

With the National Weather Service forecasting between 5 to 9 inches of snow to blanket the area before Sunday morning, the City of Summit's Department of Public Works is busy preparing for Saturday's storm.

So far, the DPW has made 3,500 gallons of brine and started applying it to selected streets, city officials said. Crews are also servicing equipment, changing worn/broken plow cutting blades, and remounting plows on some of the trucks.

How are you preparing for the storm?
