County GOP Chair Awaits Christie Speech at RNC Convention

More than 500 New Jersey Republicans, including several from Summit are looking forward to Gov. Chris Christie's speech tonight.

Editor's Note: The following is an email forwarded to Summit Patch by Summit Republican Commitee member, Dorothy Burger.

Greetings from Tampa!  Today, the New Jersey delegation heard from former California Republican candidate for Governor (and current CEO of HP) Meg Whitman and former Governor John Sununu about how New Jersey can help elect Mitt Romney our next President.

Yesterday, we heard from former Governor Tom Kean, who set the tone for the week.  On Sunday night, we heard from the Governor himself. While much of the discussion was about Mitt Romney, we also heard great praise for our own Governor, Chris Christie.

To clear up any confusion - Governor Christie is set to give his keynote tonight - yesterday's postponement of the RNC Convention will not change the timing of the Governor's keynote speech.  It is still set for tonight.
