Open House at Summit Firehouse

The Summit Fire Department kicks off Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 3-10) with an open house at the Firehouse, 396 Broad Street. The event will promote "Smoke Alarms: A Sound You Can Live With!" and to help Summit residents understand the National Fire Protection Association's latest smoke alarm recommendations.

The event will also feature kids' activities and demonstrations. At 11:00am the Summit FD and Merck Fire Brigade will demonstrate a confined space rescue and at 1:00pm there will be a rappelling demonstration.
