Giving Patriotism a Lift
City employees installed flags throughout Summit streets Friday morning.
In advance of Memorial Day, Summit is showing its patriotic spirit by raising American Flags throughout its downtown.
Friday morning, city employees were in the process of installing more than 50 flags on polls throughout the city's streets. Enlisting the help of a Department of Public Works truck outfitted with lift, employees made quick work of the project, making stops at intermediate light poles along Springfield Avenue and hoisting flags.
