Press Release: Dem's Tea and a Song for Summit's Seniors

Mayor and Common Council candidates, including Eileen Forman Ludden for mayor; Susan Dillingham Hairston, At Large; Sandy Bloom, Ward 1; and Dennis White, Ward 2 were present.

This past Thursday, the Summit Democrats held a Seniors Tea for an interested group of residents who welcomed the opportunity to meet the candidates for Mayor and Common Council, including  ; , At Large; , Ward 1; and , Ward 2.  Graciously hosted by Betse and Frank Gump,  and co-hosts Esther Toney, and Betsy and Phil Eisner, the  candidates shared their plans for Summit's future, including their program for coordinating and strengthening services for . 

Highlighting the afternoon was a special campaign song, "Come on Along", composed by Esther Toney and Janet Maulbeck, who gave a rousing performance joined by Joanne Maulbeck and piano accompanist, Capitola Dickerson. 

These Summit seniors left the tea pledging to do their part to participate in this once-in-four-years election of a new mayor for Summit and three new Council members, and  to vote on November 8th.
