Take Down Election Lawn Signs By End of Weekend, Council Prez Says

If signs are not removed, candidates could face fines, Richard Madden said.

Summit Common Council President Richard Madden announced that as Election Day has passed, all lawn signs endorsing candidates must come down by the end of this weekend.

"Now that the election is over, I urge that all political signs placed by anyone be removed by this weekend at the latest," Madden said. "If not we can talk about a fine for the persons whose name is on the sign at some future time."
