Voters cast 204 write-in votes in Tuesday's primary, including enough to land two Democratic candidates spots on the November General Election ballot.

Eileen Forman Ludden received 56 votes for mayor and Andrew Dennis White received 41 votes for Ward II councilman. Ludden only needed 22 and White needed 12.

The number of write-in votes needed to appear on the ballot in the November general election is based on a percentage of votes cast for Members of the General Assembly in the 2009 primary.
