DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Lucy Find Her Forever Home

This 5-month-old Shepherd mix needs a home. Will it be yours?

Lucy is a 5-month-old Shepherd mix puppy. A group of volunteers from Home For Good Dog Rescue were in South Carolina recently to save dogs from euthanasia. When they saw a severely starved and malnourished puppy, they named her Lucy. No one would rescue her looking the way she looked. Her ribs were clearly visible, and her hip bones were sticking straight out.

Lucy was ultimately placed in a local foster home in Southern Georgia. Her foster mom says, "Well, we have had Lucy for six days, and she is fast becoming a beautiful puppy. She is rapidly gaining weight, and her hair is soft and shiny. She is also eating and playing with other foster dogs."

Lucy has just been transported to New Jersey and is staying with a local Home for Good foster home until she can find a new loving home. She is up-to-date with routine shots. Won't you open your heart and home to Lucy?

For more information on Lucy or any of the other dogs available through Home for Good Dog Rescue, visit the Home for Good website, call (908) 598-8212 or email contacthfg@gmail.com. If you are considering adopting Lucy or one of the other Home for Good dogs, please complete an online application at http://www.homeforgooddogs.org

A pre-approved application is required for all “meet and greets” and adoptions.
