DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Peanut find his Forever Home

Peanut is a 3 month old male Dachshund mix.  He has had a rough start to life. Peanut was born with a defected penis and was about to be put to sleep in a high kill shelter in the south because of it. Luckily, Home for Good Dog Rescue saved Peanut and arranged for the surgery to fix the problem.

Peanut is now fine and available for adoption. He is good with dogs and kids. Peanut’s foster mom calls him Prancing Peanut because he has a hop in his step when he walks.  He is a very playful and happy dog. Peanut would make a great addition to any home!  He is neutered and up to date with his shots.

For more information on Peanut or any of the other dogs available through Home for Good Dog Rescue visit the Home for Good website (www.homeforgooddogs.org), call (908) 598-8212 or email info@hfgdr.org. If you are considering adopting Peanut or one of the other Home for Good dogs, please complete an online application.  A pre-approved application is required for all “meet and greets” and adoptions.

About Home for Good Dog Rescue:

Home for Good is a volunteer-based, 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. We are a 100 percent foster based organization with an office in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from deplorable conditions in kill shelters, tending to their physical needs and finding them a new loving home where they can thrive.

At Home for Good, we seek the best treatment for our animals. We provide medical care, training, support and hope. Our dogs are vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. We rescue puppies and dogs that are facing euthanasia. Some require surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs, while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care for respiratory illnesses, skin infections, heartworm treatments, and emergency surgeries. Through our adoption services, these loving animals are given a chance at a happy and fulfilled life.
