DOG OF THE WEEK – Help Skylar find her Forever Home

Skylar is a 5-month old female Hound and Feist mix who is waiting to find her perfect family.  She is shy at first and needs a family that will nurture her and shower her with love so she learns people can be trusted. She and her siblings were found abandoned on the side of the road so we don't know what happened to her before she was rescued. But, as a result, she is a little reserved with new people. She's learning to play with toys and enjoys playing with her foster dog siblings both big and small! She's doing great on housebreaking and sleeps well in her crate overnight. Skylar is up-to-date with her vaccinations, neutered, and micro-chipped.

For more information on Skylar or any of the other dogs available through Home for Good Dog Rescue visit the Home for Good website (www.homeforgooddogs.org), call (908) 598-8212 or email info@hfgdr.org. If you are considering adopting Skylar or one of the other Home for Good dogs, please complete an online application.  A pre-approved application is required for all “meet and greets” and adoptions.

Let’s help Skylar and his HFG friends find their new “forever” homes!

About Home for Good Dog Rescue:

Home for Good is a volunteer-based, 501(c) (3) non-profit animal rescue. We are a 100 percent foster based organization with an office in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. Our organization is dedicated to rescuing dogs from deplorable conditions in kill shelters, tending to their physical needs and finding them a new loving home where they can thrive.

At Home for Good, we seek the best treatment for our animals. We provide medical care, training, support and hope. Our dogs are vaccinated and ID micro-chipped. We rescue puppies and dogs that are facing euthanasia. Some require surgery from a specialist to repair broken limbs, while others may need additional rehabilitation time and specific medical care for respiratory illnesses, skin infections, heartworm treatments, and emergency surgeries. Through our adoption services, these loving animals are given a chance at a happy and fulfilled life.
