Annual Teen Arts Fest Kicks Off Tonight at 7p.m.

The two-day event features works by teens from Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, New Providence and Summit.

The 40th Annual Local Teen Arts Festival is jointly sponsored by the middle and high school PTOs and PTAs of Berkeley Heights, Mountainside, New Providence and Summit. Each year, the festival offers a showcase for the artistic talents of middle and high school students in these towns by hosting a free two-day event.

is hosting Teen Arts Festival 2012. The festival will be held on Friday (7p.m.-10p.m.) & Saturday (10a.m.-3p.m.), April 20 & 21.

Works ranging from photography to oil painting, vocal solos to brass bands, poetry to play excerpts, pottery to hand-made furniture and computer graphics to music videos will be on display. Over 1,400 entries are showcased at each year’s festival. Each entry and/or performance has the option to be critiqued by professionals, and each student receives personalized feedback on their work. The Festival attracts hundreds of visitors each year who come to enjoy the talents of the amazing student artists.
